The theme of 2007 was “Limits and Dreams” and this idea inspired the selection off all the Special Programs of the festival.
Along with traditional program of the festival, International, Latin American and Brazilian Programs.
Replacing the section Developing New Visions was created the section KinoOikos a privileged window to the audiovisual production from several vídeo workshops all over Brazil.
And a considerable number of Special Programs, like: Retrospectives of the artists Jeanne Faust, Osamu Tezuka, Jairo Ferreira, Cao Guimarães, David Cardoso.
The permanent sections Dark Side, Children, Mix Brasil, Critic´s Week from Cannes Film Festival very successful.

The celebration of the 50th Anniversary of London Film School, the 20th Anniversary of Femis School, in France.
• The sections: Children, Dark Side, Live Politics, Kino Lounge , Mix Brasil were all very successful.
• In 2007 the festival celebratecd the 7th aniversary of Kinoforum Workshops and edited a new DVD containing all the videos produced in these workshops during 2007.
• 424 films exhibited from 56 different countries 210 venues only in São Paulo + 18 in the festival’s tour in São Carlos, Rio, Recife and Porto Alegre
• free entrance in the 10( ten) screening rooms in São Paulo
