Extra Activities
The São Paulo International Short Film Festival is always increasing its extra activities, promoting still more discussion, informations and many meetings, because we realize that a cinema festival is made of many movies but, also, of many stimulation meetings. For this, we always offer the ABD’s meeting, workshops, happy hours and parties.
Partnership Audiovisual Schools
The Festival keeps constant partnership with Communication and Audiovisual Schools from São Paulo State, developing several actions with their students. The goal is stimulation and participation and the frequency of the students in the Festival, creating one communication way to listen to desires and proposals of the new generations.
Each year, the job begins with the Abril Universitário, one cycle of visits to Schools which happens on April. Groups of the Festival go to Schools to present the activities and to open space for the university participation. The short movies are exhibited followed by debates with directors who, on 2009, attracted about one thousand students from 13 different institutions.
This year, one new thing was the challenge launched to the students of the course of Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing, with the promotion of a culture context for art creation of the display of the Festival. More than 30 jobs were inscripted and they were valuated by judges made of the designers Debora Ivanov, Ricardo Ohtake and Roberto Yanez. The ten top final can be watched in Cinemateca Brasileira.
During the Festival, students of the course of Midialogy of Unicamp this year will achieve the Making Off of the Festival – each year, the challenge is proposed to a different institution. And many others participate as monitors, following guests and audience all over the ten days of programation.
Also belong to the activities in partnership whit teaching institutions the projects Short Review and Kino Nite.
