- Itamaraty Award
A R$ 20.000,00 (twenty thousand reais) prize for an up to 15-minute long Brazilian Showcase film and chosen by a jury commissioned by the Brazilian Foreign Affairs Office in partnership with the Festival’s organization.
Itamaraty Award for Brazilian Cinema was created by the Foreign Affairs Office in 2006 aiming to promote domestic cinema through money prizes for different categories, including Best Short Film. Since last year, in a partnership with Sao Paulo International Short Film Festival, it was stablished a new special prize for the format, that comes to its second editon this year.

The juri that will choose the film has the following members:
She is Head of Cannes Court Métrage an entity dedicated to Short Films developed by the Festival de Cannes. In parallel, she is short film programmer and is also part of several short film selection committees and juries all over the world.
José Roberto Rocha Filho
Graduated in Law Sciences in Universidade Federal da Paraíba, he is a diplomat e subchief of Audiovisual Supporting Division of Foreign Affairs Office.
Studied MA Art in Context in the Universitat der Kunste Berlin. Nowadays is member of the Berlinale Shorts Selection Comitee of Berlinale International Film Festival.
