Four videos of the Workshops Kinoforum go to Paraíba
Among 43 movies which will be shown from 14 to 17 October in the JAMPA Video Festival of the Kinoforum Workshops of Audiovisual Filmmaking. The event is promoted by SESC-PB, in partnership with the Undersecretary of Culture of the State and it happens in the Mini Auditorium of the SESC I center John Pessoa.
The sessions are opened to the public and the festival still grants exhibitions and discussions. Check the videos of the Workshops which were selected:
- Art on Keller street (Sacomã Workshop - 2008 - 5’15’’)
What’s art? What’s beauty? The short film proposes a reflection on these topics comparing a recyclable garbage installation to relevant artistical movements.
- Baianinho (Module II Workshop - 2008 - 9’)
Rogério, always in troubles, runs away from Salvador to Sao Paulo. In the among of unfortunate events, jobless and without any luck, however, with great imagination, the boy fashions ways of survival.
- Pêmba (Module II Workshop - 2008 - 11’)
Fame is priceless. But, to achieve the success, Akim makes a pact with Exu (an African-Brazilian divinity). All about a pair of red shoes. Full house, empty soul.
- Sidewalks (Mauá Workshop - 2008 - 5’33’’)
In a relaxing way, the movie shows a different way of working of three characters of the street.
